Cherries are a fabulous fruit for reducing inflammation, aiding in weight loss and regulating your sleep. Not to mention they are absolutely deliciously juicy. They are definitely one of those Summer fruits that are worth waiting all year for. Pitting cherries isn’t so much of a problem if you are just snacking on a handful of them (unless of-course you are with your crush, then perhaps you don’t want to be spitting cherry pits out in front of him/her). However it can become a real nuisance when you want to bake or cook with cherries and have to de pit a large quantity of them. Here at Perfect Vegan Kitchen we have you covered with this nifty cherry pitting hack. Let’s start pitting cherries with a straw! That’s right, all you need is a straw!
Pro Tip: No need to throw away the pits. They can be used for an amazing cherry infused salad dressing. Simply add oil and vinegar to the cherry pits in bottle. Our favourite recipe is 1 part apple cider vinegar to 4 parts oil, with a dash or two of salt.
